Chinese Foo Dragon Bronze Statue Set

Two guardians stand at the gate in the grey hush of early morning, one on either side of the path, chests broad and manes swirling in heavy curls. Dew beads on the bronze and slips down the folds of each mane, and the air carries the cool, mineral scent of stone and damp moss. Footsteps on the gravel sound softer as you pass between them, as though the pair has quietly taken your measure. Lay a hand on a muscled shoulder and the metal is cool, smooth on the high points and deeply worked in the hollows.

The pair is cast in bronze with a hand-applied patina that suits both open air and a sheltered hall. Carved in the traditional male and female guardian poses with protective expressions and symbolic ornament, they are at their best flanking a doorway, a gate or the start of a driveway.
