Chinese Chippendale Curved Bench
Chinese Chippendale Curved Bench
(free shipping)
A curved bench changes the way a garden is used. Instead of facing straight ahead, those seated turn gently toward one another, which is why this one belongs at the end of a path, drawn around a fire bowl, or tucked into the arc of a clipped yew hedge. Six feet across, with a tall back worked in Chinese Chippendale fretwork, it reads as architecture as much as furniture, catching the low evening light in a lattice of shadow. Plant star jasmine behind it and let the scent drift over the seat on warm nights.
