Chinese Chippendale Circular Cocktail Table Base
(free shipping)
A round table gathers people in a way a rectangle never quite manages: there is no head and no foot, just a ring of chairs and a shared bowl of olives. This cocktail table base is fifty inches across and twenty high, a generous circle of Chinese Chippendale fretwork for the centre of a conversation group. Under a round of glass, the lattice is drawn on the paving in shadow as the afternoon wears on. Ring it with lounge chairs on a pool terrace, with pots of bougainvillea spilling magenta at the edges.
