Children at Water Bowl Fountain Bronze Statue

Late on a summer afternoon, a boy braces his feet and lifts his little sister toward the bowl, and she leans in, fingertips reaching for the water. The cool sound of it carries across the lawn, a soft patter that seems to slow the whole garden down. Set among ferns and the green, peppery scent of box hedging, the scene feels caught mid-breath, the kind of moment you almost taste in the clean, damp air beside a fountain. Run a hand along the bronze and you find the folds of their clothing, the curve of a small cheek, all warm from the sun.

The figures were first modeled in clay and then cast in bronze by the lost-wax method, which keeps every gentle detail of the children's features and dress. Over the seasons the patina deepens and softens with weather, so the piece looks more settled each year, whether it anchors a courtyard, a garden path or a bright interior room.
