Chantilly Garden Stool - Ivory

Ivory is the colour of gardenias and the first magnolia blooms, and in a garden at dusk it is the last colour to fade. This stool wears it as a glossy glaze over a drum pierced all over with petal-shaped cut-outs, so its surface reads as delicate fretwork and catches every highlight. Set it in a moon garden of white roses, nicotiana and silvery artemisia, where it seems to glow as the light goes, or beside a dark wicker chair on the porch for a crisp contrast.
