The Gothic Revival brought the pointed windows and spires of medieval churches into Victorian parlours and gardens, and the Cambridge Settee carries that romantic spirit outdoors. Part of O'Brien Ironworks' Gothic Revival collection, it is just over five feet wide with a back forty-five inches tall, giving it a stately presence for a seat built for two. Set it on a stone terrace beneath climbing roses, or in the shade of an old magnolia where the fallen petals gather around its feet. In black it reads like fine wrought work against a whitewashed wall; in sage it melts into a cottage garden of foxgloves and lavender.
