Boy with Panpipes on Fish Base Bronze Fountain

In a shaded corner of the garden, where ferns crowd close to the path, a young Pan sits atop a great scaled fish and lifts his panpipes to his lips. Water spills and murmurs below him, a soft, steady sound that seems to take the place of his music. Reach into the falling water and it is cool and silky, the bronze beneath it smooth and slick with spray. The air smells of moss and wet stone, and on a still summer evening the whole corner feels like a scene from an old myth.

The fountain was sculpted in clay and cast in bronze by the lost-wax method, which carries the detail from the boy's expressive face to every scale of the fish. Its patina is weather-resistant and develops character over time, and it is offered in sand-green, verdigris, brown or black, ideal as a garden centerpiece, in a courtyard or on a patio.
