Boy & Girl Table-top Bronze Vase Set

At either end of a mantel on a late spring evening, a boy and a girl in classical dress stand in quiet symmetry, each one holding a spray of fresh-cut flowers. The aged patina warms in the firelight, picking out the folds of their garments and the gentle expressions on their faces. Lift one to change the water and you feel the cool weight of the bronze and the fine detail of the costume under your fingers. Fill them with sweet peas from the garden and their light, honeyed scent will drift across the whole room.

Each figure was sculpted in clay and cast in bronze by the lost-wax method, with an opening for fresh or dried arrangements and a hand-applied aged patina. They can be used indoors or out, flanking a fireplace, a console table or a bookshelf, or simply displayed on their own as sculpture.
