Book Face Table-top Bronze Statue

In the corner of a library on a rainy afternoon, a calm face rises from the pages of an open book, its serene expression that of someone lost in a favorite story. Lamplight settles softly on the brow and the curling bronze pages, and the patina gives the whole piece a quiet, contemplative depth. Run a hand across it and you feel the ridged edges of the pages give way to the smooth curve of a cheek. With rain tapping at the glass and the dry, sweet smell of old paper in the air, it seems the perfect companion for a long read.

It is cast in bronze by the traditional lost-wax method, which carries the detail from the serene expression to the textured pages, and its hand-applied patina deepens naturally over time. It is equally at home indoors or out, on a library table, in a study or beside a reading bench in the garden.
