Avignon Side Chair
Avignon Side Chair
(free shipping)
There is a particular pleasure in a meal eaten outdoors under a plane tree, the light falling through the leaves in coins of gold and the table laid with mismatched linen. The Avignon side chair belongs at that kind of table. Compact at 20 inches wide, with a 35-inch back and a classic 17-inch seat height, it tucks neatly under a dining table and lines up in good order along a terrace. Its French Provincial character is relaxed rather than formal, easy beside rough stone, potted citrus and a tumble of nasturtiums. Pair it with Avignon armchairs at each end.
