Antibes End Table

Every chair needs a companion, somewhere to set down a glass of wine or a pair of secateurs. This little round table, all in black powder-coated aluminium, stands on curving legs that meet in a crossed stretcher beneath, a detail that throws a neat star of shadow onto the paving at midday. It sits comfortably beside an Antibes lounge chair, or on its own by the back door with a pot of trailing ivy-leaved geranium on top. Its dark finish recedes in the evening, letting the planting take the stage.
